What is Quartzite?

The metamorphic rock is formed by geologic events in which heat and/or pressure change existing materials into new kinds of stone. The new stone can have very different physical and chemical properties compared to its original form. Limestone can become marble, for example. Marble, granite and quartzite are examples of metamorphic rock.

Where can quartzite be used?

Quartzite is one of the few materials which can be used in the freeze/thaw climates such as Northern Nevada. Quartzite is great for exterior decks, patios and barbecues. Quartzite adds warmth and character to eating and gathering areas, bathrooms, fireplaces and floors.
